SENIOR LEAD DEVELOPER (Permanent)

We are looking for a strong enterprenial Java/J2EE software engineer with excellent web development experience to join our busy team.

Our company is an innovative and expanding web development company working in the financial sector.

Our core market is financial services .Understanding of financial products and terminology
would be advantageous.

You must have the ability to put your technical knowledge into practice effectively and have the ability to work pro-actively and lead your team.

You will be able to communicate with clients on a needs basis in development and support work.

This is a hands-on role which will give you opportunity to be involved in every aspect of a busy technical department.

This role will involve a significant amount of client contact.

Essential
* At least 6 years commercial java experience
* Proven client-facing experience including developing specifications in response to client requirements
* Good Degree in relevant area, or significant commercial experience
* Good command of English (spoken & written)
* SQL database design and optimisation
* Unix/shell scripting experience

Highly Desirable
* Experience of project management
* Hibernate and/or Spring framework
* DOM / Jquery
* Software estimation

Salary and Benefits– Basic £55 aae +Bens (3% pensions, life assurance and healthcare) + 20 days holidays.
